Kim's Spiritual Energy Pathway
My life purpose is healing – myself and others. I pursue this purpose by living happily and being of assistance to others. My service takes many forms from facilitating personal and professional growth through equine experiential learning, energy work sessions to provide both healing services and readings, friendship, and volunteer service to assistance organizations and United Way Agencies that provide services for those most in need. It’s taken most of my life to find my life purpose and a way to fulfill it each day. My path has been a life of extreme diversity. As people get to know me and hear about things I’ve done, the places I’ve traveled, the people I’ve met, and the different experiences I have lived, they almost don’t believe it is possible for one person to have experienced all I have. I have been blessed with a colorful, diverse, and extremely interesting life that just continues to grow beyond my imagination. It is a great life and I’ve learned that life is all about what you make of it. My journey started in a small town outside Ann Arbor, Michigan. I am from a small family of four – my mother, father and sister. My mother suffered from MS and we lost her when she was 47 and I was 22. We suffered another loss when my father passed due to prostate cancer when he was 69 and I was 40. Due to my mother’s illness, I grew up very fast and basically ran our household starting at the age of 8. A few months after my mother was diagnosed, she and my father asked for my help in running the household. Of course I would help. However, much later in life I learned that I had given up my childhood and that 8-year-old little girl instantly turned 18 to care for her family. I did most or even all of the cooking, cleaning, laundry, and ironing. I was such a serious and responsible little girl that I actually began babysitting for other families at this age. That is unbelievable to me now. I watched my mother struggle with her disease and most days I would spend some time crying in my room for her and her struggle. Now, I look back at pictures and see that serious little girl that carried the weight of the world on her shoulders. I graduated from Michigan State University in 1984 with a B.S. degree in Computer Science Engineering and continued these studies doing some graduate course work at Purdue University. I have always been a traveler, but at this time in my life I spent a summer in Italy as an au pair for an Italian family, tutoring their two teenage daughters. A few years later I spent the year living in Tunisia, a country on the Mediterranean Sea in North Africa. This experience brought together my personal interests in culture and travel with my profession in technology. I worked for a Motorola distributor consulting with the government ministries on the use of technology. After returning to the U.S., I moved to the Chicago area to focus on my technology career. I worked in the field of Information Technology for 20 years as an executive and manager at Fortune 100 companies such as Pfizer, McDonald’s, Motorola, and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. During this span of time my purpose assisted others in their professional development. I never met a manager like myself, one that was truly able to put their employees first, mentor and develop, and still achieve high performance while exceeding goals. The key to my success was my belief that every person brings value and is always doing their best. If the results are not on target then it is due to a lack of understanding, communication, or experience – all of which can be easily corrected. I started my career in management mimicking the style of others. But after about a year, I looked in the mirror and realized that this manner of leadership conflicted with my personal standards of how people should be treated. From that moment on, my approach to leading others became people focused and compassionate. We accomplished great things. After this change, my responsibilities grew to managing up to 45 staff and annual fiscal responsibility of $10-30 million. Also, I have extensive experience facilitating top executives and strategic planning. I am highly effective at building high performing teams and sustaining successful performance while maintaining high morale over long periods of time. I was able to achieve this with my own style of management focused on developing and supporting people. I have received many top awards in Project Management, Team Excellence, Coaching, and a Presidents' Award at a Fortune 100 company that recognizes "the best of the best" that is awarded to the top 1% of their employees. This corporate success was not without a downside. It is very difficult to achieve this level of success with people focused ethics. And yes, I learned at a very young age how to carry the weight of the world on my shoulders. I was doing it again. The long-term stress had caused physical harm through various illnesses, to name a few – Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), pre-diabetes, hypothyroidism, chronic sinusitis, and arthritis. I knew I needed to make changes in my life and soon. During this time I was extremely happy day to day, but I also had a recurring sense that there was more that I needed to do and life had to have more meaning. I kept thinking, "There has to be more to life than having a family, going to work, achieving material success, and planning a retirement." These feelings became the turning point in my life. It is through one of my corporate positions that I met Theresa. We worked very well together and soon became close through sharing our metaphysical experiences. Our connection began to ignite and develop our energy abilities. Through the energy my sister channels, Queve, we learned that we had many prior lifetimes together. We have joined to work together in this lifetime. My husband, Todd, and I share a great love and have a beautiful country home near Kalamazoo, Michigan, that we call Bella Terra. Shortly after moving here, we started a miniature horse farm and a new business that provides equine experiential learning. We serve a broad range of businesses, groups, and individuals to provide professional and personal development; teambuilding and leadership workshops; and life skill development for those with developmental disabilities, ADD/ADHD, and those in recovery. We also partner with therapists to provide counseling sessions utilizing experiential activities with horses. This is a unique process of self-discovery that helps individuals improve their effectiveness and happiness. We help people develop skills such as communication, problem solving, personal effectiveness, gaining confidence, self-esteem and achieving goals. You can learn more on our website at www.bellaterraacres.com.Shortly after moving to Michigan, my sister called one day to tell me about her energy training. This is not like a training class you attend classroom style. Rather, it is training at the energy level guided by a channeled energy (or spirit). After she completed and became a channel herself, she began my training to work with an energy named Coyote Moon Woman. My training completed in August 2003 and my energy abilities continue to expand and develop. During my training, I would frequently be overcome with a strong feeling that I want to be a healer to help others. I have strong intuitive abilities through my higher self, I host Coyote Moon Woman and can work with her to gain insight from her perspective, and I am able to move energy and tap into the universal healing energy to assist both people and animals with energy healing.
Coyote Moon Woman was a shaman that lived in the late 1700’s to the mid 1800’s. She was a Native American Indian in the southwest but we don’t know from which tribe. I am also of Native American Indian from the Creek Nation. She was a nomad, traveling from tribe to tribe sharing healing and foresight with them in exchange for food and shelter. She performed divinations, ceremonies, and healings. She had a son. She travels to me today with her palomino horse, coyote, hawk, and white buffalo. She is incredibly powerful and I have much awe and respect for her. She also reminds me regularly of our work through gifts of feathers and a palomino pinto miniature horse born on our farm in 2004. I am so grateful we are working together again in my lifetime.
My core metaphysical beliefs are:
When I have asked Coyote Moon Woman the name of the work we do together or the type of healing ability I have, she has repeatedly told me that a name does not exist and my abilities are unique. I accept this and understand that my path is one less traveled. I am blessed to be fulfilling my life purpose everyday.
